Whiskey Library Anthology Series, DC Straight 5yr Bourbon, Barrel Proof

On May 20, 2017, the Whiskey Library, in partnership with District Made Spirits, barreled a whiskey distilled from 72% Hickory King Corn, 18% Rye, and 10% Malted Barley.

This was originally planned to be Bottled-in-Bond, but after five years in the barrel, the team felt that it was too good to water down, and so they left it at barrel proof. Sometimes you just have to listen to the whiskey and go with your gut, even if it wasn't the original plan.
